Updates from a procrastinating fan fic author …

You’ve probably been wondering where I’ve been lately, and what I’ve been up to … since I clearly haven’t been writing any new fan fiction. And for that, I apologize. But my muse has been directing me elsewhere.

For starters, I’ve been extremely busy with my work at Novel Novice Twilight – and I’m proud of how well that site has been doing, and some of our latest projects. (As part of my work for the site, I got to cover the Vampire Baseball event in Portland, Oregon and met Peter Facinelli, Edi Gathegi, Rachelle LeFevre, Michael Welch and Kiowa Gordon!)

I’ve also started muddling around on an original piece of fiction. I think it actually has the potential to be more than a short story — maybe a novel? (I’m almost afraid to write that down … but it looks that way. I’ve never managed to write anything more than a short story successfully.)

I haven’t forgotten about the readers who enjoy my fan fiction. And I do have ideas for more Twilight stories. It’s just a matter of getting myself to a place where I’m properly inspired to write these stories, and having the time to sit down and write them.

I’ve also been photoshopping. Mostly downloads for NNT, but also a couple new banners for other authors. (See my creations here.)

On a side note, don’t forget to vote for “The Dorothy Factor” at the TwiFic Indie Awards!

In the meantime, check out some of my latest videos I’ve created for Novel Novice Twilight:

I’m now on Twilighted!

Yeah, I know.

I’m a slacker.

I haven’t really written anything new lately. Well, not any new fan fiction. I started work on an original piece, but I’m still not quite sure where that’s going. And I am still mulling over a couple new Twilight fan fictions. But I’ve been really busy with other projects (including lots of stuff over at Novel Novice Twilight).

However, I am expanding … and I’ve started adding my stories over at Twilighted.net. Since I’m a “new” author over there, my stories still have to go through the validation process (I’ve got automatic validation at Twilight Archives). But the first chapter of “The Dorothy Factor” is now posted at Twilighted. I started with that story because it’s one of my favorites that I’ve written, and among the stories I’m most proud of.

So go check it out here: http://www.twilighted.net/viewstory.php?sid=5525

Oh, and on another note to my fellow fan fic writers … go check out the Novel Novice Twilight July-August 2009 Fan Fiction Challenge. You can win cool prizes, including an autographed Twilight cast photo! Yeah, seriosuly. Coolness, right?

kthxbye.

Check out my new video! I was experimenting with video effects a bit on this one … the song is “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day.

Long time, no see …

Hello friends.

It’s been awhile. I know.

I haven’t written much, either.

I’ll be honest … I’ve been busy. And distracted. I was also dealing with a frustrating computer that was on its last legs. The computer has since been replaced, and the new one is now up and running. (And fabulous!)

With that in mind, here are my goals, as far as my fanfiction/this site are concerned:

* Update the sections of this page that have been under construction since I first started this blog.

* Finish my post-BD/Charlie fic

* Write a sequel to “Bruises”

I have no idea when all of this will happen. I’ll be honest, my writing is subjective to my mood and the things that are going on around me. Lately, I’ve been so busy & distracted that I haven’t really been inspired to write. Now that I’m getting things back on track, I hope to get back to writing.

“New Moon” Video

So I finally fixed my editing issues and was able to finalize my “New Moon” movie trailer. The problem was dumb … three tiny clips that didn’t want to work and had to be replaced … but anyway, it’s been fixed and here is the final video:

It’s funny, New Moon is actally my least favorite of the 4 books — but I found I had a new appreciation for it after making this video. Who knew, huh?

Welcome to 2009

Hey everyone! Just a quick note to say hello … things have continued to stay busy at work, since we got warmer temps & lots of rain after all that snow. That means flooding galore. Hopefully the weather will chill out for a while and give me time to get back to normal. I’ve also been busy with friends and home improvement projects. (Currently, I’m waiting for some wall paint to dry. Yes, I’m literally watching paint dry.)

But I want you to know that I am still working on some new fics — slowly, but surely. My plan is to get back to “Puzzle Pieces” and finally get that story finished. I also had an idea for a new crossover, after reading all the Sookie Stackhouse books. (I’m already a fan of the show “True Blood,” which is based on the books.) It’s a bit out there, but I think the story could be fun …

In the meantime, please enjoy this Ultimate Extended Twilight Trailer I created:

I also recently created a kick-ass New Moon trailer, but my computer is being a pain in the ass and won’t finalize the video. I’m not giving up yet, but I did take a break from trying to fix it in order to paint & reorganize my den. Fixing the video is my next project, I think.

Also, be sure to check out Novel Novice Twilight’s January-February Challenge. It’s a screenwriting challenge for New Moon. You can also check out the winners from our Nov-Dec Challenge, which I judged. There are some great stories there!
